General Policies

• Please note all orders ship Monday through Friday only.
• There are no weekend/holiday shipments
• Enter your Shipping information exactly as it appears on your credit card or bank statement. If the address information does not match what the credit card company has on file, your order can not be processed.
• Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover card and PayPal are accepted.
• IMPORTANT NOTICE: Credit card fraud is a very serious federal offense and we will aggressively prosecute anyone attempting to misuse a credit card number at our website. If you attempt to misuse a credit card or any other form of payment at House of Nubian Inc, you will be pursued and prosecuted for a federal offense to the full extent of the law. We do not ship ANY ORDERS until we are satisfied that the transaction is clean. We reserve the right to cancel, delay or request additional verification should we decide an order is suspicious or fraudulent.

• Next Business Day Orders must be received before 12 noon
• Most orders received before 3:30pm ship the same day.
• Orders usually arrive within three to five business days.
• We ship APO/FPO, AK, HI, PR, VI.
• APO/FPO shipments require approx 10 days for delivery.
• We only ship international orders with payment by PayPal. We do not ship International Orders with credit card as payment.

• If you'd like to receive products from us and reside in a country outside of the U.S., Please send us an International Money Order in U.S. Dollars
• International Shipping charge $26.95 (Global Express 2-3 Days)
• Shipping charges are not refundable.
• All items will be shipped promptly when the order is received.
• Tracking number will be e-mailed to you when the package leaves our post office.
• Each order is tracked from inception, to arrival in your hands.
• All of our deliveries require a signature, which ensures the package is actually received by the card holder
• We encourage you to buy more than one item so you can save on shipping.

We offer the following shipping methods and delivery times:

Standard: Ground (3-5 Days)  ( $7.95 ) Express: Air (1-2 Days)  ( $21.95)

Shipping Charges

For shipments to Alaska, Puerto Rico and Hawaii an additional $2.50 freight surcharge per order will be added to the above charges.

An extra $7.99 per item will be added for overweight items.

Additional freight charges for shipment outside of: United States:

An additional $26.95  freight charge per order will be added for shipment to countries not shown above.

Taxes

We collect state sales tax when shipping to the following states:

Order Cancellation Policies

• Orders can only be canceled before they are shipped.
• Once merchandise is shipped there will be no refunds, exchanges only (except Headwear & Media).
• Shipping charges are Non-Refundable
• Once a garment is customized it is non-refundable

Return Policies

• No refunds, Exchanges only (except headwear & Media (VHS, DVD & CD's) on unworn items within 10 days.
  
• No exchanges on damaged items.
• No merchandise will be accepted for exchange with out a return merchandise authorization (RMA).(Any non-defective returned item is subject to a restocking charge of 25% of the purchase price (No Exceptions!!!).
• We do not accept exchanges on Headwear & Media VHS, DVD & CD's can be exchanged (only if defective) for the same item only.
• We do not accept returns or exchanges on any food products.
• Once a garment is customized it is non-refundable.

About Us

Since my humble beginnings as a street vendor on Broadway in November of 1989, House of Nubian has grown to become one of New York's premier Hip-Hop, Negro League, and Reggae one-stop shopping stores.

Over the years, we have learned that quality is the first thing to put into our goods. We use only the best quality merchandise.

All of our Negro League items are licensed by the surviving players of the league, which ensures that royalties are paid directly to actual players and their families. My father, Melvin McCray, was himself a Negro League baseball player and now President of The Surviving Players of the Negro League 1900-1950.

Browse through our online catalog. You don't have to be in New York to experience House of Nubian's unique style. This catalog is only a fraction of the goods we carry. If there is a specific item that you want, call us, we may have it.

As of 10/31/02, I had to close the retail store on West 8th street in order to devote more resources to this Web Site.
